Turtle Bay Salford Quays

Tucked in the heart of The Quays, Turtle Bay Salford Quays brings a slice of the Caribbean to the vibrant waterfront of Salford. Just steps away from MediaCityUK, this spot is not just about food - it’s about energy, colour, and rhythm, all wrapped up in a tropical experience that’s hard to forget.

From the moment you step in, you’re met with a burst of reggae beats, laid-back vibes, and décor that oozes island flair. Think bold murals, fairy lights, repurposed wood, and a bar that draws your attention immediately - and for good reason. Turtle Bay is famous for its signature cocktails, and here at Salford Quays, they don’t disappoint. Whether it’s a Classic Mojito, Coconut Espresso Martini, or a vibrant One Love concoction, the drinks menu is a party in itself. And with happy-hour drinks flowing till late, it's no surprise this place is buzzing every evening.

But Turtle Bay isn’t all about the bar - the food is where the real magic happens. The star of the show? Without a doubt, the Jerk Chicken. Grilled over an open flame, slathered in their signature hot sauce, it’s smoky, spicy, and deeply satisfying. Craving something richer? Go for the Curry Goat or the indulgent Curry Goat Hash - bold, warming, and packed with Caribbean soul.

The menu caters to all moods and cravings. Feeling snacky? Try the Sweetcorn Fritters, Spicy Mac & Cheese, or Crispy Chilli Squid, all perfect for sharing (or not, we don’t judge). For something heartier, the Kingston Fried Chicken and Trini Curry Chicken bring punchy flavours and satisfying textures. Even the vegetarian and vegan options are worth shouting about, with plenty of small plates and mains that don’t compromise on taste.

And we haven’t even gotten to the desserts yet. The cheesecake here is a crowd favourite - rich, creamy, and always a sweet way to end the meal. Pair that with a Caipirinha or an ice-cold beer, and you’ve got yourself a Caribbean holiday without leaving Greater Manchester.

Now, let’s talk setting. The restaurant offers outdoor seating - ideal for sunny afternoons or evening hangouts by the water. Inside, it’s got wheelchair-accessible seating, entrance, and toilet facilities, making it a welcoming space for everyone. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite, staying late for cocktails, or grabbing takeaway or kerbside pickup, Turtle Bay Salford Quays flexes to suit every kind of diner.

Service-wise, staff are friendly, quick to recommend dishes, and clearly enjoy being part of the upbeat vibe. It’s a place that’s popular for lunch, draws in a loyal dinner crowd, and is especially great for solo diners who want to unwind with flavourful food and good drinks.

And while there are plenty of restaurants around Salford Quays, few match the combination of Caribbean flavour, spirited cocktails, and casual fun like Turtle Bay. It’s not just a restaurant - it’s a little escape to the islands, right in the middle of the city.

We had a lovely experience at Salford Quays, the food was lovely, the atmosphere was really welcoming and our waitress made the evening! Dani was our waitress, she was so attentive and so funny. We all had great banter with her and she made our night really special. We came away saying that we would definitely be back!

Our first bottomless brunch did not disappoint. The food was lovely and our server Dani was amazing. If hospitality had more Dani’s the industry would be in a much better place. There is a lovely vibe in the restaurant . I forgot my glasses and another member of the team found me a pair to borrow. I would highly recommend a visit Keep up the great work Dani

I was at Turtle Bay (Salford Quays) on Sunday 25th May 2025 with my girlfriend for the 'Late Night Beats & Eats'. What a great deal at £29pp for two small plates and 4 cocktails. It was great that we could have any 4 of the cocktails and not limited to a small selection or made to double up. The food choices were great too such as the ackee and saltfish rolls, ribs, sweetcorn fritters, and the fish tacos. The staff were very friendly and attentive particularly the young lady that sorted us with the cocktails and gave some suggestions. We will be back

Went for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Sat outside in comfortable covered surroundings, service was spot on too. Food so tasty and fresh, decent portions and all meals were on point. Worth a shout if you've blue light as its a good discount option offered here as well. Bill for 4 adults and 2 children all having mains and a drink was £109 but reduced to £83 after discount. Highly recommend!
